He/she would send in some air right now as CAP over the embassy, remaining on-station while a full Marine division heads in-country to get our people.
Anything that moves to stop that, stops moving — permanently.
………and then when our people were out safe and sound, a formal message would be delivered to the Sudan government — “You’re on your own”.

The current administration needs to be removed from office, or within a very short time, we’ll be in a world-class shooting war, not being allowed to defend ourselves, while being ordered to “quit it with the Muslims” and apologizing to the planet for whatever bad has ever happened since the dawn of time.

(AP) — The State Department on Saturday ordered the departure of all family members and non-essential U.S. government personnel from posts in Sudan and Tunisia and is issuing travel warnings to American citizens in the two countries due to security concerns over anti-American violence.

And that person actually gives a damn about Americans.
And somehow got a senior administration official (has to be cabinet-level or you-know-who) to sign the ‘get ‘em outta there’ order.

Under the circumstances I believe it is outrageous. However, it appears according to the Vienna Convention the receiving state is responsible for security. Article 22.

And thus does have the right to refuse protection from the sending state. But then these are extraordinary times and call for extraordinary measures. Frankly I’m for booting their embassy out of DC like Canada did to Iran but that will never happen. And the Libyan embassy should go as well.
Here’s what I go by in a time of war and that’s what this is.
Kill the enemy.
Break their stuff – all of it if possible.
Our diplo-dweebs in-country (if any) are safed, treaties and protocol be damned.
Then add the peace lovers to the mix and here’s my basic stance:
