Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber announced Tuesday that a global partnership between the Yankees and England-based Manchester City Football Club has acquired the MLS’ 20th expansion club — New York City Football Club — to be based in New York and begin play in 2015.

“When the opportunity came for us to partner, we do what we do all the time — we get sought out, but we only partner with quality people, brands that we believe can stand up with ours,” Yankees president Randy Levine said. “And Man City, there’s no doubt, is one of those. We’re a great partner because we know New York City. We know how things work. We’re going to help them, and we know how to build championship teams.”

Manchester City will be the majority owner of the club, while the Yankees, as an investor, will be an active member of the ownership group.

A 56-year-old hiker was moderately wounded after an enraged sheep attacked him.

In the early morning hours the man embarked on a hike along the White Path of Shvil Israel (Israel’s Path).   Along the way, not far from Kfar Qara along Route 6, he came face to face with a sheep who for reasons yet unknown attacked him, slamming into his torso.

The hiker managed to reach his phone and alert MDA paramedics, who raced to the scene and administered first aid, later evacuating him to the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera.

According to the hospital, the man is suffering from fractures in his lower body.   Currently, the reasons behind the sheep’s attack are being investigated, including the scenario that the man some-how provoked the sheep.

A greeting card company hoping for a laugh used a doll meant for Muslim girls as the basis for a birthday card that depicts a headscarf-wearing little girl as a terrorist.

The card appears to be based on a real doll meant for actual Muslim girls.

The Aamina Muslim Doll, which speaks phrases in Arabic, is the brainchild of a mother who couldn’t find dolls that resembled her daughter.

The card was first released in 2011, but was only recently noticed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in a Chicago novelty store.

‘Islamophobic generalizations and negative stereotypes often hit those who are most visibly perceived as Muslim,’ wrote Ahmed Rehab CAIR’s Chicago Monitor, ‘and women wearing the Hijab are often the group hit the hardest.

The 2,000-year-old Jobar Synagogue in the Syrian capital of Damascus — the country’s holiest Jewish site — was looted and burned to the ground.

The synagogue is said to be built on the site where the prophet Elijah concealed himself from persecution and anointed his successor, Elisha, as a prophet. It had been damaged earlier this month by mortars reportedly fired by Syrian government forces.

The rebels said the Syrian government looted the synagogue before burning it to the ground, Israel Radio reported Sunday.

The government said the rebels burned the synagogue and that so-called Zionist agents stole its historic religious items in an operation that had been planned for several weeks, the Arabic Al-Manar Television reported, citing the Arabic Syria Truth website.

Fresh female grads of a Hamas officers’ school in the Gaza Strip recently participated in a special target practice session for the benefit of Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and other Hamas dignitaries.

Also, to be straight-forward, the NY Post headline should have read as follows:  Kapo scumbag attorney defending a typical Muslim in a terrorism trial demands no Jews be allowed on the jury.

The typical Muslim is ‘lucky’ on two levels:  1.  That he’s not on trial for straight-up treason as he should be …and… 2.  That he hasn’t assumed room temperature as he should be.

SecDef Hagel entering the five-sided squirrel cage for his debut:

After a short time, SecDef Hagel recruits a battering ram crew to force open the door.

Following repeated attempts with the ram, the door remains standing, but the rest of the building has crumbled to rubble and SecDef Hagel is still trying to push down the door.

A few minutes later, SecDef Hagel blames Israel for the door not opening and formally requests President-For-Life Barack Hussein Obama (PBUH) order a full-on multi-carrier group strike and ten-to-fifteen-division ground invasion against the Jewish state.
