One dead, several wounded — Shooters dressed as or are Palestinian Authority Police — Started as rock-throwing attack — Muslims celebrate by setting fire to Joseph’s Tomb — Palestinian Authority says Jews are “not normal people” — Israeli Defense Force area commander blames victims for not coordinating visit.
Palestinian Authority police Sunday morning shot and killed one Israeli and wounded four others after they prayed at Joseph’s Tomb (Kever Yosef) around 6 a.m. Sunday (11 p.m. Saturday night EDT). The murder victim (pictured below) was identified as 24-year-old Ben Yosef Livnat, a nephew of Likud Minister Limor Livnat and father of four children.
Arabs attacked the funeral procession with rocks as it proceeded from his childhood home of Elon Moreh to Jerusalem, where he lived with his wife and four children. At least one car windshield was broken in the rock attacks, but no one was injured. People from Elon Moreh stood by the highway in dozens of cars as the funeral procession passed.
Palestinian Authority Arabs set fire to Kever Yosef near Shechem Sunday morning several hours after PA policemen gunned down Jewish worshippers, killing one of them.
Jewish settlers in Israel “are not normal people” and therefore there is no need to apologize for the murder of a Jew who prayed at Kever Yosef (Joseph’s Tomb) Sunday morning, according to Palestinian Authority security forces’ spokesman General Adnan Damiri.
He also claimed the victims of Kever Yosef attack may have been armed.
The Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, Brig. Gen. Nitzan Alon, addressed this morning’s shootings of Israeli worshipers near Joseph’s Tomb in Shechem by Palestinian Authority security forces without any noticeable emotion, and did not say one word blaming the PA for murdering an Israeli citizen at close range.
“At this point a uniformed Palestinian police officer with a Kalashnikov in a jeep woke his colleagues up and they started firing into the air…I was in the front seat. We started driving fast in the direction of the tomb; we got out of the vehicles and kissed the tomb.
“When we got back to the vehicles the police shot at the vehicles, they were screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’. It was crazy, they were shooting to kill. I screamed at the driver to drive out of there quickly. When we got to Har Bracha we attended to the wounded.”
The funeral in Jerusalem for Mr. Ben-Yosef Lifnat, murdered at Joseph’s Tomb by typical bitter Allah-clinging Muslims.
Benny Machlev, director-general of the Yesod Olam Society, explained why some – primarily Breslav Hassidim like himself – put themselves at risk to be physically present, even if for short periods of time, at sites believed to be the burial sites of important Jewish figures.
Some good news.
Dr. Boaz Tadmor, Deputy Director of Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah, said this morning that the wounded victim in the terrorist incident “was operated on over the night, and his condition is now termed ‘serious.’ I am happy to report that his life is not in danger.” Another victim is listed in moderate condition, and two others were hurt lightly.
‘Scuse me ?…… Yo Ace, ‘the proper authorities’ is one authority and that’s God, not your Tally-Ho Snackbar buddies or anyone else. Jews, Christians and anyone else – yes, including peace-lovers – should be able to visit freely without (whata shocka) peace lovers demonstrating how much they love peace.
Enough is enough.
If the shooters are Palestinian Authority Police, then Israel should immediately declare a state of open warfare and take care of business – no quarter, no mercy.
If the shooters are not PA Police, The Palestinian Authority – in their oh-so-peace-loving-way – needs to get their house in order and until then, Israel should refuse to consider participating in any ‘peace talks’, and without question, cease any and all aid to Gaza, plus more.
This is getting out of control and we’ll all be lucky to live through it.
