Saudi Arabia bans the use of English and standard calendars.

Nothing to see here.

.

Saudi Arabia has banned the use of the Gregorian calendar in all official state and business dealings , the Gulf News reported Saturday.

Riyad’s decree also bars government and private agencies and businesses from using the English language to answer calls or communicate.

According to the report, all ministries and agencies must now use Hijri dates – the Islamic calendar – and the Arabic language, exclusively.   The Saudi Interior Ministry said that the decision “means to preserve the Islamic calendar and the Arabic language.”

The peace lovers do realize that world-wide air travel communications is done via English, yes ?

A person could also tend to wonder if our humble but lovable Dictator In Training Pants™ (a.k.a. #HeilObama) will deign his subjects with the gravity of this matter, especially as it pertains to the evil dark goo coming out of the Saudi ground that everyone in his administration seems to despise.

Also guessing that El Guapo will now have to address his masters in Arabic as well, which shouldn’t be much of a problem at all for the Kenyawaiian™.

Lastly, will the US media report this at all and if they do, not defend the Moose Limbs ?

Wait till their IT departments explain that their computers don’t do Hijri dates. Wait till their banks can’t trade or transfer money since the SWIFT network only uses western dates and English.
